The June meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd. The meeting will feature Barbara Lindsay, BVM&S, DACVIM (Neurology) & Breanne Morrell, MS,DVM, Neurology resident.  They will present on "Drunk and Anxious - a 2 part lecture series! "

Description: Seizures are the most common neurological condition you will encounter and yet with numerous medications available its difficult to know the which medications should be recommended! Join Dr Breanne Morrell (3rd year neurology resident) and Dr Barbara Lindsay (Neurologist) for this two-part lecture series focusing on dogs with seizures. Dr Morrell will start with "How Drunk is Too Drunk?" a discussion about anti-seizure medications in dogs focusing particularly on side-effects, blood work abnormalities, and when to worry about them. Dr Lindsay will finish with "Addressing Anxiety in Epileptics" where we discuss about how anxiety in epileptic dogs affects their quality of life, and what therapies can be used along side their anti-seizure medications.

Speaker: Barbara Lindsay, BVM&S, DACVIM (Neurology)

Bio: Dr. Barbara Lindsay has a strong interest in training the next generation of veterinarians. She works closely with other specialty clinicians and referring veterinarians to provide comprehensive treatment plans for her patients. Her special interests include neuro-oncology cases and meningitis treatment.

Dr. Lindsay enjoys running, practicing barre Pilates, drinking espresso and spending time with her cat. She grew up on a sheep farm in Australia, and while she misses her sheep dogs, she loves exploring the “Lone Star State” and meeting local people.


Speaker: Breanne Morrell, MS,DVM, Neurology resident

Bio: Dr. Breanne Morrell is particularly interested in small animal neurology. Dr. Morrell enjoys playing video games and watching movies. She has two cats named BooBoo and Wafer.
