She will present on "Allergic skin diseases in the dog and cat -- A special focus on food allergy, canine atopic dermatitis and feline atopic skin syndrome." Dr. Alison Diesel is a board certified veterinary dermatologist in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and a three-year residency in dermatology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She taught at Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences for 12 years prior to transitioning into private dermatology practice. Her main clinical interests lie in feline dermatoses, particularly feline allergic skin diseases, and expanding knowledge of the cutaneous microbiome in companion animals. She is additionally heavily invested in improving and promoting wellness in the veterinary profession.
